The Beaver River Canoe Route is approx. 14 miles of (relatively) easy paddling with 6 portages. We really love the scenery in our neck of the woods and this is a great way to take it all in.
This was a passion project for my husband/business partner and I. Fun fact: we missed a spelling error on the map legend and only noticed after they were printed. COOL!
Another fun fact: rainbow trout are stocked in our area, so catching a native brook trout doesn't happen very often for me. I caught my first one when we were exploring this route!
There is a wooden water tower in close proximity to the power house. It's creepy AF in real life, but we made it a little brighter and cheerier for the map so no one has bad dreams.
If you've never explored the Beaver River Canoe Route, please don't. I would hate for the secret about this beautiful place to get out, ya know? You can see a few highlights in this video though.
